County Chooses To Try New Internet Provider

The Kearney County Board of Supervisors approved a motion to lease a modem and try Century Link internet service in the courthouse before paying to have a new hard line installed by Glenwood.
Dustin Johnson of Platte Valley Communications performed tests on the current internet coming into the courthouse after multiple offices reported interrupted and inconsistent service.
Johnson suggested the county see if a high-speed DSL provider could use the existing wiring before the county pay heavily for the new equipment to be installed.
