Community leaders were positive yet cautious during the December 14 community call regarding COVID-19. Representatives from Two Rivers Public Health Department started the call with an update of the state and local situation.
The TRPHD district has seen a decline in hospitalizations in the last week and fewer people are getting tested. Across the state there have been less positive tests, less hospitalizations and more ICU beds are available. Overall, the situation is looking better which TRPHD said may be attributed to mask mandates being implemented in the Tri-Cities and the available use of medications in hospitals throughout the state to treat COVID symptoms.
