DeLaet, Pinkham Lead Minden At Lexington Invite

The Minden Whippet varsity golfers traveled to Lexington on April 12 to compete in the Lexington Invitational held at Johnson Lake on the Lakeside Golf Course.
The Whippets finished the meet with a score of 363 which put them in seventh place overall.
McCook won the invite title with a score of 310 followed by North Platte with a 332 and Ogallala a 347.
The Dawgs were led by medalist Ethan DeLaet. DeLaet was making his season debut at the meet and showed he was ready to play. The senior shot a 42 on the front nine and bettered that scoring a 41 on the back to finish the 18-hole event with an 83. DeLaet’s score was good enough to place him in the top 15, finishing in 13th position.
Josh Pinkham was also making his season debut at Lexington. Pinkham was six strokes behind DeLaet shooting a score of 89. Pinkham fired a 46 on the front side and improved three strokes to card a 43 on the back nine.
