Digital Mammography Key In Early Detection Of Breast Cancer

Digital mammography is a leading edge technology in the early detection of breast cancer.
In February, 2010 Kearney County Health Services went from traditional film-screen mammography to a FUJI Digital Imaging Mammography system.
This early detection technology is vital to the women of Kearney County,  since breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in women between the ages of 15 and 54, and the second cause of cancer deaths in women 55 to 74.
An American Cancer Society study showed that mammography screening reduced breast cancer deaths by 63 percent, which makes early detection critical.
