Districts Set For Softball, Golf And Cross Country

The Nebraska Schools Activities Association has set district participants for the upcoming competition in Classes C-1 and D-1.
The Minden Whippet girls golf team has the first district competition on Monday, October 1.
The Lady Whippets will be competing in the C-4 district golf meet held in Gothenburg at Wild Horse Country Club. Team assigned are Ainsworth, Arcadia-Loup City, Centura, Gibbon, Gothenburg, Hershey, Kearney Catholic, Minden, Ravenna, Southwest, Valentine and West Holt.
The Lady Whippet softball team will be in action on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 4-5 in the Class C1-6 district softball tournament. Teams with Minden in Gothenburg are Chadron, Blue Hill, Chase County, Gothenburg, Southern Valley and St. Paul.
The Minden girls and boys cross country teams will be running in the Class C1-2 district meet in Fairbury on Thursday, October 11. Teams in the Whippet district include Adams Central, Central City, David City, Fairbury, Fillmore Central, Lincoln Christian, Lincoln Lutheran, Milford, Raymond Central and South Central Unified District #5.
The Axtell and Wilcox-Hildreth cross country teams will also be participating in the Class D-3 district meet in Alma. Teams along with Axtell and W-H are Alma, Amherst, Arcadia-Loup City, Bertrand/Loomis, Blue Hill, Burwell, Centura, Doniphan-Trumbull, Elba/North Loup-Scotia, Elm Creek, Franklin, Gibbon, Kenesaw, Ord, Ravenna, Shelton, St. Paul, Twin Loup and Wood River.
