Don And Rhonda Ellis Purchasing Big John’s Ford In Minden

Big John’s Ford in Minden is going through a transition in ownership. John Saathoff is in the process of selling Big John’s to Don and Rhonda Ellis of Minden.
Don has been with Big John’s just over two years and came to Minden as the General Manager. Don and Rhonda have been taking the steps necessary through Ford  to purchase the store from Saathoff. In September of 2010, the Ellis’ were approved by Ford Motor Company.
“We like to say that we were led to Lexington so that we could run across the opportunity of the Ford Dealership in Minden,” the Ellis’ stated.  “As a family, we were anxious to get back to a small town and the opportunity arose to meet with Saathoff and Gary Schultz with Big John’s Ford through Todd Booth with Platte Valley Auto in Lexington and Gary Mroczek with Pony Express in Gothenburg.”
Saathoff opened Big John’s Ford over 40 years ago and has been a steadying force in Minden and the surrounding area for sales and service.
“We are so very thankful to John Saathoff, Todd Booth, Gary Mroczek and Gary Shultz for all of their wisdom, acceptance and continued support. We are excited to be here in Minden and to call Minden our home.”
