Donald “Don” Jurgensmier passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021, in Miami, Florida. He was 84 years of age.
Don was born October 30, 1936, to Charles and Helen (Weber) Jurgensmier, and was raised on the family farm near Heartwell. He graduated from Minden High School with the Class of 1954.
Don lived and worked most of his adult life in Miami. He always enjoyed returning to Nebraska for summer vacations and class reunions when he could. Don had a true zest for life, and anyone who was around him always had fun and found themselves laughing! He was affectionately called “Johnny” by his brothers and close friends when he would be back in Nebraska. His very strong resemblance to his father, Charlie, was ALWAYS a topic of conversation, and an endearing quality of his.
Survivors include his wife, Kate; son, Scott; daughter, Sheri Comley (Mike); and granddaughter, Nina. Also left to cherish his memory is a host of Family and Friends here in Nebraska.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Marge; brother, Jim; and a brother, Kenneth, who died in infancy.
Burial was arranged by Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park South, in Miami.
