Elwood Defeated by First Bank Juniors

The Minden First Bank Juniors hosted Elwood on June 20 and downed the visitors 8-0. First Bank rose to 6-1. 

Pitcher Ethan Morgan spun a five-inning no hitter and his performance was quite dominant— no walks and 11 strikeouts. 

It’s the second gem Morgan has been a part of this season as he and Cade Harsin combined to no-hit McCook on June 5. 

Jake Halvorsen’s three RBI and Brandt Modlin’s two paced First Bank’s attack. The team had just four hits but received a number of walks and was gifted five Elwood errors. Austin Lutkemeier and Will Runions scored a pair of runs apiece. Luke Grollmes, Lutkemeier, Harsin and Brett Eckhardt accounted for the hits.
