Students at Minden High School can choose to participate in a wide variety of sports and activities. The school’s goal to offer activities that appeal to students has been successful as evidenced by the increasing number of students participating in three or more competitive extracurricular activities.
Activity Director Ed Rowse began recognizing students involved in multiple school sports and activities last year. With the help of Jane Hoban, he determined which students participated in at least three sports, competitive activities, or a combination of the two during the 2017-18 school year. He gathered their pictures and displayed them under the appropriate heading on the south wall of the commons area.
“Ideas are where everything starts. This was an idea we had for communicating with our students and letting them know we see them,” Rowse said.
