Facility Option To Be Presented To School Board
The media center at C.L. Jones Middle School was the site of the most recent Minden Public Schools facility meeting on Tuesday, March 13.
At previous meetings, Pat Phelan of DLR Group, had presented five base options for the facility committee to consider.
Option 1, with renovations to each building and no additional construction was projected to cost $10,165,413.
Option 2-A with the joining of C.L. Jones and the high school, including a new auditorium and activities gym, was projected to cost $21,017,987.
Option 2-B’s process of arriving at a PK-12 facility was projected to cost a total of $26,041,458.
Option 3-A, to include construction of a new high school and renovations to the middle school and elementary school was expected to cost $25,974,743.
And Option 3-B, with construction of new high school and elementary school, both connected to C.L. Jones, was projected to cost $30,570,465.
