Falcon Boys Fall To Overton In D1-9

Facing Overton for the third time since the beginning of February, Wilcox-Hildreth fared similarly to the previous games against their familiar foe as they fell 75-50 in the first round of subdistrict play at Holdrege on February 19. The Falcons’ season comes to a close at 8-13.

The loss marked the final game in the careers of Michael Nelson, Clay Blank and Blaine Groothuis, three seniors who have logged a lot of playing time in their four years as Falcons. Also worthy of mention are a couple of other seniors who contributed to the basketball program. Austin Aubushon was injured and unable to compete this season and Nathan Schepler served as student manager throughout high school.
