Wilcox-Hildreth rallied from a set down to win a grueling five-set match against Red Cloud on Friday, October 28.
The Falcons came out strong, winning a closely contested first set 25-21 before dropping the next two 16-25, 18-25. The team regrouped and came from behind to take the fourth set 25-18, forcing a fifth and final set, which the Falcons led early and rolled to a 15-10 set win, stealing the match.
Senior Lexi Jenkins led the Falcons with 19 assists, adding three aces, eight digs and one kill. Senior Shelby Aspegren paced Wilcox-Hildreth with 10 kills and four aces, adding eight digs to the effort. Sophomore Jessica Harms contributed across the board with eight kills, four digs and a team-leading four blocks while serving 20/20. Sophomore Rachel Arehart was first on the team with 22 digs. Senior Kylie Sturgis did a little of everything with three kills, one assist, two aces, three digs and one block.
