Falcons Defeat Lady Cats

The Wilcox-Hildreth Lady Falcons and Axtell Lady Cats renewed their Kearney County rivalry on the hardwood in Wilcox on Friday.
The Lady Falcons came out on top in this contest against Axtell earning a ten point win, 54-47. The Falcons are now 5-8 while the Cats fall to 5-9.
Wilcox-Hildreth got big performances from Michaela Hinrichs and Morgan Farley. Hinrichs scored a team-high 22 points, with three steals and two blocked shots while Farley had a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Cats were paced by Hailey Kring with a team-high 15 points followed by Mariah Popple with nine and Shala Nelson eight.
The Falcons got out to a three point lead on their home court leading the Cats 12-9 after one period of play.
