Falcons Drop Two In Holiday Tournament
An early 12-4 first quarter lead by Kenesaw put the win in the bag as the Blue Devils defeated the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons in the opening round of the Kenesaw Holiday tournament on Tuesday.
Kenesaw extended the eight point first quarter lead to 20 to go into the locker room 34-14 over the Falcons.
“In the first half we just didn’t come out with any fire, then in the second half we played very well and outscored them but we need to put together a good first half and second half together,” said Falcon Head Coach Dave Mroczek.
Wilcox Hildreth stayed with the Blue Devils in the second half, but couldn’t get enough momentum to overcome Kenesaw’s strong first half performance, pulling within 14 points in the fourth quarter but that was as close as the Falcons would get and Kenesaw grabbed the win, 62-43.
