Falcons Fall To Loomis

Wilcox-Hildreth advanced in the D2-8 subdistrict in an unconventional way (although maybe not, for this season) as the first round matchup versus Overton was forfeited by the Eagles due to Covid. So the Falcons moved on to play top-seeded and fourth-rated Loomis at Loomis on February 23. The Wolves defeated W-H 75-36 to end the Falcons’ season at 6-15 (7-15 if the forfeit is counted).

Eight seniors will play basketball no more as Falcons, including Gavin Sheen, Jayden Bauer, Trey Wenburg, Triston Nicks, Rylee Hursh, Harvey Beck, Ryan Robinson and Evan Blank. W-H’s record the past four years was 40-52 (19-8, 12-8, 2-21, 7-15).

Loomis led 12-0 in the first quarter before Bauer nailed a three at 3:17. Bauer hit another trey a couple of minutes later for the Falcons’ only other points of the period as the Wolves led 19-6.
