Tenth-seeded Wilcox-Hildreth’s first match-up in the FKC Tournament was against seventh-seeded Sumner-Eddyville-Miller and the Mustang boys defeated the Falcons 52-32. Wil-Hil slipped to 2-17.
The first half’s two quarters were an exhibition in contrast. S-E-M was ahead 22-0 at the end of the first period then Wil-Hil edged the Mustangs 4-2 in the second quarter. S-E-M led at halftime 24-4.
The Falcons again had an advantage in the third period, 11-7, cutting the Mustangs lead to 31-15. In the fourth quarter both teams scored well with S-E-M out-dueling Wil-Hil 21-17.
