Falcons Win In OT

Wilcox-Hildreth’s boys won their second overtime game of the season in as many tries as they downed Franklin 74-72 at Franklin on January 29. The Falcons ended an eight-game losing skein and rose to 6-11. 

Franklin got out to a 22-15 lead through one quarter then the teams scored evenly at 19-19 in the second period so the Flyers maintained a seven-point lead at halftime 41-34. 

The scoring in the third quarter was again even at 15-15 leaving W-H down 49-56 and in need of a comeback. The Falcons did enough in the fourth quarter to force overtime outscoring Franklin 18-11 to knot the score at the end of regulation 67-67.
