On Friday, June 28 Minden Post #94 First Bank Juniors were on the road traveling to Holdrege to take on the Holdrege Juniors and came up on the short end of a 12-6 decision to fall to 7-9 on the season in a four inning contest.
Brennan Runge took the loss pitching two and one-third innings allowing three hits and nine runs with four strikeouts and seven walks. Seth Hauserman relieved Runge and pitched two-third inning allowing six hits, three runs with a strikeout.
First Bank got off to a fast 3-0 lead in the top of the first beginning with a Cal Johnson walk and a Runge single and walks to Nolan Reed and Jamey Birkestrand. Evan Smith and Dallan Thompson ended the rally with a single and a walk with Johnson, Runge and Reed all scoring.
