First Bank Limited To One Hit Against Sutton

The First Bank Seniors managed one hit against Sutton in a 9-0 loss on Tuesday, June 20.
Third baseman Parker Ayres slapped the only hit for First Bank, a single in the third inning, and a walk to Thomas Sinsel in the seventh provided the only other base runner for First Bank.
Miles Steen took the hill for First Bank. Five of the six Sutton batters he faced reached base. After a leadoff single, and a bunt hit put runners on first and second, Ayres fielded a bunt and stepped on third for the inning’s first out. A double knocked in two for Sutton, but after a walk, a force out at second and a ground out ended the inning.
Sutton added to the lead in the second inning with an error and two singles to score one and go up 3-0 after two.
