The Kearney County First Bank seniors faced a dominant pitcher from St. Paul and could muster just one hit and a lone run in a 6-1 loss at St. Paul on June 12. With the loss First Bank sits at 3-4.
Jonathan Miller jacked a dinger to left field in the top of the first giving First Bank an early 1-0 lead. St. Paul answered right back with a run in the bottom of the first to tie it at 1-1.
First Bank managed a handful of runners via walks, errors, or dropped third strikes during the remaining six innings but none would cross the plate. Meanwhile, St. Paul tacked on runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth to gain the five-run victory.
