The First Bank Seniors were on the losing end of a 23-12 decision to Grand Island on a night when the ball was flying out of the park thanks to a strong north wind on June 11 at Ollie Bjorklund Park.
First Bank now stands at 5-4 on the season.
Journey Ericsson started on the mound for First Bank against Grand Island and was roughed up for four runs in the bottom of the first including a pair of homeruns before being chased off the hill.
Quenton Journey relieved Ericsson and got First Bank out of the inning. In the bottom of the first, the Senior got right back into the game when Cody Nickel, Jordan Miller and Journey all hit dingers while Jonas Lovin reached on a single to tie the score at 4-4.
In the second, Grand Island was able to add four more runs to its total to go back ahead 8-4.
