First Bank Survives With Win Over S-G

Six players collected two hits for Kearney County First Bank Seniors and Mark Lundeen and Ethan DeLaet each scored three times in the Seniors 13-7 win over Shelton-Gibbon to stay alive in the Area B-6 Tournament.
Miles Steen collected the win, striking out five in 5 2/3 innings.
Shelton-Gibbon took the early lead in the bottom of the first. With two outs, Steen surrendered two singles followed by an RBI-double to put S-G up 2-0 after one inning.
First Bank got on the board in the second. Lundeen singled, moving to second on a balk. Landon Lempka followed with a single to score him and bring First Bank within one.
