Franklin Invite

The Minden Whippets, Axtell Wildcats and Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons wrestling teams were all in action on Saturday competing in the 12-team Franklin Invitational.

The Whippets placed fourth in the team standings with a total of 117 followed by the Falcons in ninth with 55 and Axtell in tenth with 46.5.

Minden had eight medalists led by the meet’s most outstanding wrestler Quin Rutt taking the 170 pound title.
