Governor Will Speak At Event
Governor Dave Heineman will be the keynote speaker at the September 27 Grand Opening Ceremony for Kearney County Health Services (KCHS). The program will be held at the Kearney County Hospital Friday, September 27 beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Also at the podium during the program will be KCHS C.E.O. Fred Meis, KCHS Board Chairman Robert Garrett, Kearney County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard Schwenka, and Minden Mayor Roger Jones. Pastor Don Becker of St. Paul Lutheran Church will give the invocation.
There will be many special guests at the event including Al Klaasmeyer, Vice President of Nebraska Hospital Association Subsidiaries as well as the architect and contractor for the project.
KCHS administration is planning for a good turnout for the event and will have chairs for those who cannot stand. Tours of the new and renovated facilities and refreshments will follow the ceremony.
