Kearney County residents on Friday, September 27th will have a chance to see the renovations made to the Kearney County Health Services (KCHS) hospital in Minden.
A grand opening ceremony and reception for the Kearney County Hospital addition and renovation is set for 3 p.m. on Friday, September 27 at the south entrance of the hospital. Hospital renovation tours are planned following the ceremony that day.
Among the many dignitaries and special guests expected to attend the ceremony is Governor Dave Heineman.
“We are thrilled to show everyone our completed renovations,” remarked Fred Meis, chief executive officer for KCHS.
The $10 million KCHS project includes an 8,600 square foot hospital addition and renovation of 7,900 square feet of the current hospital facility. The addition was completed last fall. The renovation was completed one year later on schedule.
