Hampton Tops Falcons, 50-34
The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons football team looked to get back into the victory column on Friday when they traveled to Hampton to take on the Hampton Hawks.
The Falcons entered the contest with a 1-1 record but Hampton had too much offense in the opening period and raced ahead 20-0 and did not look back, downing WH by a score of 50-34.
The Hawks got off to a fast start putting up 20 points in the opening first quarter scoring on touchdown runs of six and five-yards and a 76-yard punt return.
Hampton led 20-0 entering the second. The Falcons got on the board in the second with a four-yard touchdown run by Clint Gardels but the point-after-try failed, trailed 20-6.
