Heath Sets New Win Record At MHS

The Minden Whippets wrestling team traveled to Holdrege on Dec. 12 for the Holdrege Invitational wrestling meet.

One Whippet, senior Hunter Heath, made his mark on the Minden wrestling record books. Heath notched his 126th win to take over the career win total in school history. Heath bested the 125 wins by Kendall DeJonge. Heath currently has a 10-0 record on the 2020-21 season and currently has a win total of 128 after the meet and he will continue to add to his mark the rest of the season.

As a team Minden placed seventh in a strong field of teams. Kearney won the meet with 172.5 followed by Broken Bow with 125.5, Grand Island Northwest was third with 105, Scottsbluff 93.5, Holdrege 84, McCook 73 and Minden 46.
