Hike And Bike Plan At Risk After Railroad, Brown Crossing Concern

The Minden City Council approved Resolution 1583 which removes the Federal funding cap previously set at $473,265 for the Hike and Bike trail at their meeting on Wednesday, June 6.
City Administrator Matt hew Cederburg was quick to emphasize “this does not give us free spending.”
According to the resolution, the total cost estimate (including engineering, final design, right of way, non betterment utility relocation, construction and construction engineering) is estimated at $616,583, of which Minden’s share is estimated to be $123,318.
