Huff Retires From Minden Police Dept. After 40 Years

On December 27, the Minden City Council, Minden Police Department, and citizens gathered at the Minden Fire Hall to celebrate Jim Huff as he retires as Police Chief. Huff has served as a police officer for 42 years, most of that time in Minden.

“I grew up in Holdrege, moved to Kearney, and moved back to Holdrege where I started my law enforcement career in 1977,” Huff said.

Law enforcement wasn’t his original career path. He became interested in the job shortly after marrying his wife, Becky.
