Incumbents Face Challengers In Wilcox Village Race

Four Wilcox residents are vying for two seats on the Wilcox Village Board.
Incumbents Jim Swanson and Kent Norman are seeking to remain on the board and are being challenged by  former board member Mark Twohig and newcomer Sharon Jensen.
As in the other contested races, the Minden Courier prepared a set of questions for response by the candidates. Each candidate on the ticket received the same questions; however, not all the questions were answered by the candidates.
A newcomer to city government, Sharon Jensen, age 49, hopes to bring a fresh perspective to the board if elected. Jensen’s responses are as follows:
Why is it important to you to be in public office?  It is my first time running for a public office.
What are your thoughts on this issue, with respect to the office or board you are running for?  I hope it is a challenge to me and I hope to learn a lot if I’m elected.
