Points were aplenty at Eustis on October 5 in the football game between Wilcox-Hildreth and Eustis-Farnam and the Falcons scored most of them in their 92-46 win over the Knights. W-H moves to 6-0 and plays at 4-2 S-E-M on Friday.
Wilcox-Hildreth led 24-18 after the first quarter. Both teams got three touchdown runs but the difference was three two-point conversion kicks by Sidney Gruwell. AJ Jenkins’ TD runs covered 22, 18 and 56 yards while the Knights’ Timm dashed in from 57, 49 and 14.
The Falcons struck for four more TDs in the second quarter while a Timm 48-yard run and his conversion kick was all that E-F could muster. Jenkins’ two touchdown jaunts were from 43 and three yards. Bryce Tobiassen connected with Clayton Nichols for a 15-yard score and Tobiassen ran one in from the five. Gruwell added two more PAT kicks as W-H had a 28-8 advantage in the quarter and a lead of 52-26 at halftime.
