Jordan Sworn In As Minden City Clerk
At the August 19th Minden City Council meeting, Abbey Jordan was sworn in as the new city clerk. Jordan will split her time at the City of Minden between her roles as city clerk and administrative assistant.
Jordan is looking forward to expanding her responsibilities at the city. “I enjoy a challenge and learning new things,” Jordan said. “I like having the added responsibility that this position will bring.”
Jordan joined the city staff as administrative assistant in August of 2009. In that role, she provided customer service in the office and coordinated the utility billing cycle. According to City Administrator Matt Cederburg, Jordan will add processing the many different city permits, such as plumbing, vendor, street closing, liquor permits and licenses, to her responsibilities. She will also attend city council meetings.
