State and County Fairs bring people together with exhibits, livestock shows, and entertainment, but none of that is possible without the dedicated volunteers that put the events together. As the newly elected Nebraska Association of Fair Managers President, Minden resident Alan Kahle will play a supporting role in fairs across the state during his term.
During the Annual State Convention in January Kahle was the first Minden resident to be elected president of the Nebraska Association of Fair Managers. He will serve a two year term ending in 2023. Before his election to president, he served a two year term as vice president and four years as District 4 Director.
“As president of the Kearney County Ag Society I attended the state convention and that’s how I got interested in becoming a delegate for District 4 and that’s how it got started,” Kahle said. “My dad, years ago, was a District 4 Director back in the 80s and I’ve kind of wanted to do it too. We’ll see where it takes me.”
