The Minden Chamber of Commerce introduced new office hours and a new administrator on April 22. Chamber of Commerce Administrator Kathi Schutz will be in the office Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and out connecting with businesses and residents outside office hours.
“If we need to alter the hours, we will. We’re going to be flexible about that,” Schutz said. “I’m also available by appointment and I’ll be giving a lot of people my cell number so they can connect with me if they need to after hours as well.”
Schutz is originally from Elwood. She attended the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Kearney State earning a Bachelor of Merchandising degree, a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in community relations, and a Women Studies degree. She has travelled the country settling for a while in New York City, Tuscan, Arizona, and Amarillo, Texas. She worked for the Girl Scout council in both Arizona and Texas and just recently retired.
