Cardiac Rehab is a risk factor modification and exercise program for those persons who have had a cardiac event. A cardiac event could include a heart attack, bypass surgery, valve surgery, heart transplant, angina (chest pain), stent placement, and congestive heart failure. Many private insurance companies cover these and other diagnoses as well.
Exercise sessions are held on site at KCHS Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week. Participants have their heart rate, heart rhythm, oxygen level, blood pressure, and exercise tolerance monitored closely.
