The Kearney County Health Services (KCHS) Fund recently conducted Action Planning in which they identified the committee’s strengths, discussed opportunities that have worked for other communities, and established clear goals for the Fund in the coming years. Public awareness of the Fund, its purpose, function, and goals was the first priority in order to make a meaningful impact.
“We want to give people a visibility into the Fund and what we’re looking to do as we look towards the future,” KCHS CEO Luke Poore said.
The KCHS Fund is an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF), a 501©3 Corporation. As a medical fund, its focus is health and wellness in the community while supporting KCHS. The KCHS Fund is governed by a Fund Advisory Committee (FAC). Members of the FAC include Kelley Ayres, Dave Craig, Ed Alderman, Jim Edgecombe, Luke Poore, Glen Haselbarth, and Dawn Thompson.
