KCHS Has Busy Month To End 2012

The Kearney County Health Services board of trustees met on January 29 for its regular schedule meeting for the month.

 

Chief Financial Officer Rebekah Mussman discussed the hospital’s financial reports for December.

 

Mussman informed the board that December was a very busy month for the hospital. The high volume was triggered by 44 acute days in the hospital compared to 17 for the month prior. Also increasing in numbers were swing bed to eight admissions, resulting in 83 swing bed patient days, observations to 17, nuclear medicine 12, lab procedures 4368, physical therapy 176, occupational/speech therapy 139, ER visits 66, ultrasounds 13, x-rays 112 and CT scans rising to 39 from 25 in November. The total outpatient procedures for the month of December came to 5,598 which was 2,000 more than last month.
