Kearney/Buffalo County CASA 3rd Annual CASA Superhero Gala

Kearney, NE– Kearney/Buffalo County CASA is hosting its 3rd annual CASA Superhero GALA, Friday, April 7 at the Younes Conference Center South. This fundraiser will fea- ture a meal, live and silent auction items, great speakers, and trivia.

Kearney/Buffalo County CASA was formed in July of 2012 to recruit, screen, train, and supervise advocates from the community to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. All funds raised remain in Kearney and Buffalo Counties. Abuse and neglect takes an emotional and physical toll on each child. Kearney/Buffa- lo County CASA currently serves 120 abused and neglected children. Our goal is to give hope and a voice to every child experiencing abuse and neglect.

Through fundraising, grants, and county funding, we are able to recruit, screen, train, and support CASA advocates who advocate for abused and neglected children. CASA advocates are able to spend comprehensive time focusing on the child/ren and their court case allowing them the opportunity to develop a solid understanding of what is in their best interest and what they need. CASA advocates recommend need- ed services to meet the needs of these children, across multiple areas including, but not limited to, educational, mental, and physical needs.
