The weekly community meeting to discuss COVID-19 in Kearney County continues to add attendees as more community leaders and representatives joined the April 13 teleconference. Katie Mulligan from Two Rivers Public Health Department opened the meeting with an update from the TRPHD region.
Six new cases were announced on April 13 in the TRPHD region. The new cases are located in Buffalo and Dawson County. Mulligan also stated requested PPE would be distributed the following day by TRPHD. Answering a question posed by another attendee, Mulligan answered two Franklin County positive cases were community spread. Additional information on the cases is limited at this time.
For the City of Minden, Matt Cederburg told the group the City has shut down residential recycling for the foreseeable future. They are working on hanging signs in City parks to discourage equipment use during the pandemic and park restrooms will be closed.
