Kearney County Hotspot For Recent COVID-19 Activity

Two Rivers Public Health Department reported 81 total positive cases to date in Kearney County during the August 17 Community COVID meeting. Only one new case was reported in the county for the day of the conference call.

TRPHD reported Kearney and Buffalo Counties have recently become hotspots for coronavirus. They encourage residents to follow health measures including the use of masks, social distancing, and sanitizing of high touch surfaces.

There are currently seven TestNebraska drive-thru testing sites within the TRPHD district including one in Minden. Kearney County Health Services administered 71 tests during the first testing day in Minden on August 11. KCHS will continue to staff the drive-thru testing site at the Kearney County Fairgrounds on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
