Kearney County has received a membership dividend of $16,936 from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider. The dividend was part of a $1 million distribution shared by 79 Nebraska counties and six regional area agencies on aging during NIRMA’s annual conference Oct. 8 to 9 in Kearney.
With this latest distribution, Kearney County has now received a total of $288,266 in dividends since becoming a member of NIRMA in 1988. NIRMA issues dividends from funds no longer needed for the payment of claims and general operating expenses.
