Kearney County Sports Debuts With Legion Baseball Broadcasts

What started off as just conversation spawned an idea for Minden residents Tim Birnie and Jeff Krull to establish Kearney County Sports.com.
Kearney County Sports.com will debut this summer with radio broadcasts of all the home First Bank Senior Legion baseball games livestreaming on their site. The pair will also cover most away games. “I have been thinking of doing this for awhile just from working with the baseball committee the last couple of years,” Birnie said. “We are always trying to raise funds for the teams and this seemed to be a great way to do this. “Then Jeff and I started talking about doing it and with his willingness to help we were able to move it forward. Jeff did all the design and work on our web site. He also did a lot of calling around finding the best equipment to use and also streaming service. Without Jeff this would not have been possible.”
