Kissinger, DeLaet Lead Whippets At Gothenburg Invite

The Minden Whippets varsity golf team competed in the windy and wet Gothenburg Invitational on Thursday at WildHorse Golf Course.
The Whippets and 13 other teams braved the cold and wet weather to get the invitational in as the season is soon winding down. Scottsbluff won the invite title with a score of 330 followed by Ogallala with 340 and North Platte 344. Minden finished in ninth in the team standings with a team total of 363.
Derek Kissinger led the Whippets by carding a team low score of 88. Kissinger shot an impressive 42 on the opening nine holes and followed that with a 46 on the back.
