Korth New Deputy Kearney County Attorney
Neleigh Korth,deputy Keith County attorney for the past 6 1/2 years, will become the deputy Kearney County attorney on March 1.
Bryan McQuay currently holds the post following the death of Dave Wondra who served as county attorney for 21 years.
McQuay will finish out the county’s fiscal year and on July 1, Neleigh Korth will be seated as the Kearney County attorney.
According to the Keith County Journal newspaper, Korth earned an undergraduate degree from Hastings College and her law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law. She worked in private practice for one year at North Platte before being hired in 2004 by then Keith County Attorney Jeff Eastman. She also worked for former County Attorney Blake Edwards, where she focused on criminal proceedings.
