Kristensen Takes 11th Place In Class C State Tournament

Over ninety girls teed up the ball at Quail Run Golf Course the 2010 Class C State Golf Championships played Oct. 11-12  in Columbus.
Great weather greeted the 2010 field which was a dramatic difference from the cold, rainy and even snowy meets of recent history. Weather has been notoriously bad during the past state golf tournaments as evidenced by the 2009 tournament that had to be reduced to a single competition day due to snow storms that blanketed the area.
Morgan Kristensen was the Minden Whippets lone qualifier for the state tournament and she played some of her best golf in capturing her first individual state medal of her career.
