The Holdrege Country Club and the Holdrege Dusters played host to a triangular golf meet with Kearney High and Minden on April 4. Minden was coming off its runner-up performance at Amherst Invite the day before and looking to improve their play. The weather was cool and still overcast with the winds blowing out of the north at 10 mph making the wind chill around 48 degrees. Holdrege won the team portion of the meet shooting a 179 with Minden nine strokes back with a 188 and Kearney JV with a 197. The Minden JV team finished with a team score of 286.
Jake Kuehn claimed medalist honors for the first time this season shooting even par 36. Ethan Hanson was second with a 43 for the Whippets. Thomas Miller carded for a 48 for the day and Alex Olson shot a 61 for the nine holes.
Jacob Luff led the JV team shooting a 59 followed by Will Werner with a 70. Brodrick Saunders and Leandro Banzhaf shot 77 and 80 respectively.
