Lady Cats Fall In D2-3 District Final To Mavericks

The Axtell Lady Wildcats volleyball team had an opportunity to play their way into the 2012 Nebraska State Volleyball tournament in Grand Island on Thursday night.
The Lady Cats came out of the D2-6 subdistrict and would face the Cedar Valley Mavericks in the D2-3 district final held in Cairo at Centura High School.
The Axtell/Cedar Valley winner would head to the state tournament on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8-10.
