Lady Cats Remain Unbeaten

The Class D-1 third-ranked Axtell Lady Cats ran their record to an unblemished 8-0 on Thursday when they traveled to Elwood for the Elwood triangular.
The Lady Cats opened by downing Elwood, before being taken to three sets by the Loomis Wolves.
Axtell topped the Pirates in the opening match by scores of 25-17 and 25-16. Shala Nelson had a season-high 15 kills on 26/29 attempts. Mariah Popple added seven kills while Hailey Kring had six.
