Lady Cats Win 2010 Fort Kearny Conference Title

The Axtell Lady Cats volleyball team is the 2010 Fort Kearny Conference tournament champions.
Axtell completed its goal on Thursday of winning the FKC title and accomplished the feat by downing the tournament host, the Overton Eagles.
The second-seeded Lady Cats had to come-from-behind to down eighth-seeded Overton to capture the championship by scores of 24-26, 25-21 and 25-14.
Axtell (17-2) was led by Hailey Kring who put down 13 big kills on 31/34 chances followed by Shala Nelson with nine kills on 26/30 attempts. Mariah Popple added eight kills while Lexi Klauz-Rohde added five.
