Lady Falcons Earn Subdistrict Top Seed

Wilcox-Hildreth’s girls defeated Overton 46-33 on February 7 in Wilcox for perhaps the Falcons’ best win of the season. Wil-Hil rose to 16-6 and the victory earned them the top seed in subdistrict D2-8 along with boosting their wildcard point av- erage which could make a critical difference later on.

The Falcons held the Eagles to their lowest point output of the season. Good first and fourth quarters were decisive to the win.

Wil-Hil was 17 of 37
(46%) on FGs and 11 of 18
(61%) on FTs. The team
had 17 defensive and
7 offensive rebounds,
nine assists, 16 steals and 21 turnovers. Overton was 11 of 42 (26%) on FGs and 6 of 13 on FTs and had 26 turnovers.
